WILDFLOWER AND BIRDING HIKE AT ANDRONE WOODS
May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free
Watch for a sign on Cleophas Road; then drive south down a short dirt road and meet on the north edge of the woods.
Androne Woods is a 16-acre woodland parcel owned by the Green Rock Audubon Society. Because it was never used for grazing, along with GRAS habitat restoration efforts, this site still contains abundant displays of many different spring woodland wildflowers. Common species include False Solomon’s Seal and
Wild Geranium, and the woods contain Trilliums, Orchids, and ferns that are now considered rare species.
This event is free and open to the public.
