A group of students in Beloit are showing off their winning trophies after taking part in the 42nd Annual BookQuest Competition. Beloit Public Library Marketing and Communications Coordinator Amy Mitchell says a record 16 teams from eight schools participated in the battle-of-the-books-type competition last week at the library. The first place winners of this year’s contest were the Todd Howlers from Todd Elementary School. BookQuest is a yearlong program that kicks off in the fall and features supplementary programming throughout the year including author visits, and culminates with a final competition in the spring.
