Two suspects are in custody following the death of a Janesville man earlier this month at a gas station in Dane County.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office responded March 7 to a BP fuel station in the 2700 block of County N in the Town of Pleasant Springs, on a report of a man who was shot in the parking lot.
Twenty-three-year-old Kyle Thrasher of Janesville was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified Creed Moore and Duane Johnson as suspects. Authorities say the pair arranged a meeting with Thrasher, robbed him, and shot him as he sat unarmed in his car.
Moore was arrested March 14 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Johnson was arrested three days later in Riverdale, Georgia.
Moore faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, armed robbery, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Johnson is charged with felony murder and armed robbery.
Both suspects will be extradited to Dane County.
