Police suspect a Beloit Lutheran church pastor of distributing child pornography.
The South Beloit, Illinois Police Department says 53-year-old Pastor Anthony L. Dusso of South Beloit is in Winnebago County jail on four counts of distributing child pornography featuring children younger than 13; and two counts of distributing child porn featuring children younger than 18.
Police searched a South Beloit home after a months-long, multi-agency investigation. They’d had a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Dusso seemed to be using a social media account to share child porn.
The search turned up several electronic devices police seized as evidence.
Dusso is senior pastor at Our Savior Lutheran church, the church’s website says. His website profile says he’s married, has children, and is a graduate of Wartburg Lutheran seminary.
on Thursday evening, Our Savior church did not immediately respond to phone calls from Big Radio News.
Police continue to investigate the case. They’re asking anyone with information to contact South Beloit Police.
