A popular fundraiser will return to its original format this year.
ECHO Executive Director Jessica Locher says the Empty Bowls fundraiser will be a dine-in affair for the first time since 2019.
The fundraiser features restaurants making soups for attendees, who would then vote for a winner. It would also feature live musical entertainment.
ECHO uses funds raised to address hunger needs in the community.
The event had been held at Parker High School before switching to a “to-go” format in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s fundraiser will be on Saturday, October 18th, at a new venue — the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center on Milton Avenue.
