Janesville officials worry the city will lose out on crucial funding if President Trump’s plan to freeze federal grants and loans takes effect. Janesville City Manager Kevin Lahner tells Big Radio the city has identified more than 21-million-dollars in federal funds the city receives that could be put on hold. That includes the rental assistance program and community development block grant and home program. Lahner is also concerned that the city’s federal partners have been told not to talk to them. He notes that the city has five or six capitol projects that are funded through state programs that are funded by federal grants that will remain in limbo
