JUNIOR COLLEGE GOLF

The Highland Cougars hosted 10 teams at the 

Highland Spring Junior College Golf Invitational

at Park Hills West Golf Course in Freeport. Highland

took first place with a score of 19 over par, and won the

event by 10 strokes. The Cougars were led by 

Diego Sosa who fired a two-over par 74 and tied for

fourth place individually.

JUNIOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Highland Cougar guard Jason Kimbrough (KIM-bro) was

first team All Region this past season for the Highland

Cougars, and was also named Honorable Mention

All-American in Junior College basketball. Now Kimbrough

is off to play NCAA Division 1 basketball as a member

of Bowling Green University from the Mid-American

Conference on a full ride scholarship. Highland’s second

best player, Adidas Davis, also has committed to play at

the next level as he is headed to Division-2 University

of Illinois-Springfield…also on a full ride scholarship.
