A Janesville man charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court.
Assistant District Attorney David Olson argued that cash bond was necessary to ensure that Jeremy Shea returns to court.
Defense Attorney Richard McCue countered that Shea had never missed court before and isn’t a flight risk.
Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set a $1,000 signature bond for Shea and bound him over for trial after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
According to the criminal complaint, when Shea was arrested in December officers found him passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle with dozens of empty fentanyl baggies and hypodermic needles on the passenger seat.
