Evansville couple arrested in the wake of 14-year-old’s gunshot death appear in Rock County Court

The two Evansvilleans accused of filming themselves having sex with a 14-year-old girl who police say later shot herself make appearances in Rock County Court.

26-year-old Hunter Drefahl waived his right to a preliminary hearing and entered not guilty pleas to charges of second-degree sexual assault of a child, child sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography.

20-year-old Alyssa Ahrens – who’s also charged with possession of methamphetamine had her preliminary hearing rescheduled for next Monday while she waits for an attorney to be appointed by the Public Defenders Office.

A Go-Fund-Me campaign for a 14-year-old named Florencia Henthorn said the Evansville girl died Sunday and was a victim of gun violence. Neither police nor prosecutors have officially identified the victim.
