Fort Atkinson firefighters knock down a fire in a residential garage.
The fire was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Shirley Street. Fort fire crews were on scene in minutes and had the fire put out before 6 p.m. with no injuries reported.
The homeowner says he was cleaning in the garage earlier in the day. The cause is under investigation and it does not appear to be suspicious.
Crews from Jefferson, Cambridge and the Lakeside fire departments provided mutual aid.
