The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss improvements on the State Highway 81 and County Q bridges in Beloit.
The meeting will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Beloit Public Library.
Proposed improvements include joint replacement, approach slab replacement, concrete surface repairs, updated guardrail and curb repairs. During construction, Highway 81 will remain open to traffic under single lane closures; County Q will be closed and detoured.
Construction is anticipated for 2027 or 2028.
