A 26-year-old former East Troy man who was originally charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child pleads to a lesser charge in Rock County Court.
According to online court records, Christopher Van Zandt of Plover pleaded guilty Thursday morning to child enticement. The prosecution dismissed the second-degree sexual assault of a child charge.
According to the criminal complaint, Van Zandt forcibly kissed and touched a 13-year-old girl he has known for close to a decade.
Van Zandt is currently free on a $2,000 cash bond while he awaits sentencing on July 17. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
