The Parkview Board of Education gears up to craft a 2025-26 budget in the wake of another failed operating referendum.
Interim Superintendent Wayne Anderson says the school board’s Finance Committee met for the first time this week after the April 1 vote.
Anderson says board members didn’t get a lot of negative feedback from the community, so it’s a mystery as to why they didn’t support the referendum.
Anderson says the school board needs to create a budget at a time when there isn’t much fat left to cut. Cutting staff salaries and reallocating money from one place to another are both on the table.
