A Hellcat is on the loose.
Police officials confirm someone smashed a window overnight Tuesday at Frank Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Janesville. They then stole a supercharged Dodge Challenger Hellcat Demon muscle car.
Janesville police officials report they have assigned detectives to the theft that happened at the dealership at 4001 Milton Ave.
Police confirm someone busted two windows of the dealership showroom’s main entry. The smashed-out window space apparently was big enough that the thief was able to roll the Hellcat right out of the showroom.
Employees reported the theft after they showed up in the morning for work, saw the damage, and realized a top-shelf muscle car was missing.
Manufacturer’s notes list prices for Hellcat Demon coupes ranging between $70,000 and $80,000.
