The city of Beloit will be performing a spring cleanup of the Eastlawn and Oakwood cemeteries this month.
Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says the city is in charge of maintaining both city-owned cemeteries. Lock says decorations on gravesites should be removed by April 15. Cemetery staff will dispose of broken vases and excessive or inappropriate decorations. American flags that are not serviceable will also be removed.
New decorations may be placed on or after May 1.
