Voters in the Whitewater Unified School District approve a capital referendum.
The district asked for $30 million Tuesday night to fund a bevy of facilities improvements across the district.
Areas the district hope to address include outdated HVAC systems, roof repairs, electrical and plumbing systems, window replacements, and building security.
Big overhauls are also planned at Whitewater High School. The district wants to update the auditorium there and expand the career and technical education spaces.
The referendum passed 3,189-2,933.
