Two new faces join Janesville School Board

There will be two new faces on the Janesville Board of Education this spring.

There were three seats up for election Tuesday. Incumbents Cathy Myers and Jim Millard were not seeking re-election.

The top vote-getter was newcomer Julie Richardson with 23.66 percent or 9,826 votes. The second highest vote-getter was incumbent Michelle Haworth with 18.42 percent or 7,652 votes. The third highest vote getter, and final candidate to grab a seat is newcomer Tyra Johnson with 15.45 percent or 6,418 votes.

The other three candidates who didn’t receive enough votes to take a seat on the Janesville School Board were Colton Measner, Cory James, and Veronica Hereford.
