A 25-year-old Brodhead man charged with severely injuring his baby by shaking him will be free for another two months on a signature bond after his plea and sentencing is delayed.

At what was supposed to be Damien Wolf’s plea hearing in Rock County Court Wednesday morning, defense attorney Tyler Klug asked for more time, having recently been appointed to the case.

Klug says he needs to get statements from Wolf’s councilors, child protective services, and the child’s mother, who appears to be supporting Wolf.

Judge John Wood agreed to set a new plea date for May 28th.

According to the criminal complaint, CPS was called to a Madison hospital on November 3rd for a baby with a brain bleed that was consistent with being shook.

Wolf admitted that when he watched the child at his town of Spring Valley home, he would often shake him out of frustration when he cried.
