Redevelopment of the former United Way building in downtown Janesville will provide an amenity the adjacent Shops at Block 42 have never had before – off street parking.

The family behind block 42 are pumping $2 million into 205 North Main Street with the hope of opening a Great Harvest Bread Company franchise in the fall.

Quint Studer says the goal is to complement the coffee shop and specialty olive oil store next door. At Great Harvest, everything is made from scratch and all of the ingredients are healthy.

Studer says So Chopped will basically be absorbed by Great Harvest, and that space in Block 42 will be converted into a demonstration kitchen.
