The City of Beloit is asking for public feedback on proposed improvements at a local intersection.
City Engineer Scot Prindiville says WisDOT has received a grant to address traffic safety issues at the intersection of White Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue. WisDOT wants to install a raised median at the intersection. Prindiville says the change aims to reduce accidents at the intersection. WisDOT believes 2028 is the soonest construction will get started on the 488-thousand-dollar project. The City is holding a public meeting Tuesday from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Department of Public Works Engineering Facility in Beloit.
