Lots of wind damage reported overnight in Rock County.
The Rock County Communications Center says dispatchers responded to a high volume of calls throughout the entire county overnight as a storm system packing strong straight-line winds swept through the area last night into this morning.
The comms center says there haven’t been any injuries to people reported so far. Many calls involved trees down and hitting structures or wires. There also have been multiple reports of transformers popping, almost a dozen brush fires and an overturned semi on Interstate 43.
Alliant Energy was reporting a handful of outages in Rock and Walworth counties on its online outage tracker, including one in central Janesville affecting at least 23 customers.
