A community theater opportunity in Clinton.
Auditions are coming up for a production of “The Music Man” as part of the school district’s Community Activities Program.
Even though it’s through the school district, Aaron Bennett, the district’s musical and theater director, says this casting call is for people of all ages.
“The Music Man” is the story of con man Harold Hill, who travels from town to town selling band instruments and uniforms and leaving before teaching the music lessons that were part of the deal.
Auditions will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 31, in the front gym at Clinton Elementary School with rehearsals to begin April 3. Those looking to audition should register with the Community Activities Program through the school district website.
Bennett says they’re also looking for stagehand volunteers and musicians so they can perform the musical’s songs live.
