|Big Radio News| A 20-year-old Janesville man takes a plea deal in a child pornography case.
According to online court records Cesar Felipe plead guilty Wednesday morning to a single count of possession of child pornography. Rock County Judge Barbara McCrory dismissed but read into the record four additional counts of possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision.
Janesville Police say detectives received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which initiated an investigation into the possession of child pornography.
In May, the Janesville Police Department SWAT Team served a search warrant at Felipe’s home in Janesville and confiscated a number of materials which contained depictions of children being sexually assaulted.
Felipe had been free on a $500 cash bond for nearly two years while his case worked its way through the court.
