|Big Radio News |One of two Janesville men accused of robbing a man of his cell phone, wallet, and some THC carts at gunpoint appears ready to face the music.
19-year-old Lucas Labuguen and 20-year-old Jesus Garcia appeared in Rock County Court Tuesday morning where both men waived their right to preliminary hearings.
While Labuguen entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of party to the crime of armed robbery before Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig, Garcia’s attorney requested a hearing before Judge Ashley Morse.
Online court records show a plea/sentencing for Garcia is scheduled for April 2nd, exactly one month after his arrest.
Labuguen made his professional boxing debut on Feb. 22 on a fight card in Janesville. He won his bout in a first-round knockout.
Both men are being held in the Rock County Jail on $25,000 cash bond.
