|Big Radio News| Beloit is one of four school districts across Wisconsin who’ve been awarded $75,000 grants from the Department of Public Instruction to develop new recovery high schools.

The funding provides resources for developing environments where students in recovery can thrive academically and personally. These schools are designed to meet the unique needs of students overcoming substance use and mental health challenges that often coexist with substance use.

The grants will support the design and implementation of strategies aimed at fostering healing, resilience, and academic success for students in recovery.

The other three school districts to receive $75,000 grants were the School District of Ashland, Manitowoc Public School District, and the Norris School District.
