Authorities are looking for a Janesville man accused of fleeing from police after attacking a woman in Beloit.
Prosecutors say a Beloit police officer was called out January 22nd to a home in the 16-hundred block of Fayette Avenue in Beloit. The officer spotted 47-year-old Antorn Lamont Roby in a vehicle backing up in the driveway of the home.
She tried to stopped the vehicle with stop sticks, but Roby was able to drive off through the neighbor’s front yard.
The officer spoke with a woman at the home, who said she was in a sexual relationship with the Roby. She said the two had been arguing over text messages when he came over and attacked her, including slamming her head against a door. Roby also held the knife up to the victim’s face and threatened to cut her. An arrest warrant was issued for Roby, who faces charges of battery, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer, attempting to flee an officer and bail jumping.
