The Milton House adds to its full-time staff.
Julie Marquardt started this week as the museum education coordinator, and Kevin Scannell is the public programs and outreach coordinator.
Milton House Executive Director Keighton Klos says the positions are brand new. Klos had been the museum’s only full-time employee, and new staff was part of last year’s strategic plan to enhance and expand the museum’s educational offerings.
Scannell’s focus will be taking the museum’s lessons into the community, while Marquardt will oversee operations at the Milton House. That work could include refining museum tours and recruiting docents and volunteers.
Klos says Marquardt has previously volunteered at the museum and served on the board. Scannell’s last job was as a programs and events coordinator for a museum in Riverton, Wyoming.
