| By Big Radio News Staff | The Hedberg Public Library is launching a program designed to use the talents of the community. Public Services Librarian Kasey Weiland says the Community Book Blanket asks book lovers to crochet a granny square inspired by a book cover they’ve read in 2025. She says the program was launched after she learned how to crochet over the holidays.
Crocheted submissions will be accepted at the library until November 29th. The submitted squares will then be incorporated into a Community Book Blanket that will be displayed in the library in 2026. There is a monthly program at the library for those who wish to learn how to crochet called Casual Crafters. The group meets at Hedberg Public Library on March 20th, April 17th, and May 15th.
