Authorities are searching for a Janesville woman who faces new charges after she was already charged with stabbing and choking another person last year.  Prosecutors say police responded July 2nd, 2024 to the 300 block of North High Street in Janesville on a report of a disturbance.  An officer learned that a man had spotted 38-year-old Nikita Rae Burris inside his SUV throwing objects around.  The man was able to remove Burris from the vehicle.  She admitted that she had been smoking an unknown substance out of a tire gauge that was found at the scene.  The officer learned she had been previously charged in March 2024 with stabbing a person and choking him with rosary beads.  Burris faces new charges of felony bail jumping, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She failed to show up for her trial in the stabbing case last summer after posting bond.
