A Beloit man is accused of shooting his wife with an air soft gun.  Prosecutors say Beloit police were called out February 21st to a home in the 12-hundred block of Randall Street on a report of a man throwing things and threatening to beat up his wife.  An officer was met by the wife of 51-year-old Erik Prip.  She said she had come home from work and that her husband was yelling at their 23-year-old son.  After Prip threw his phone and his wife’s phone onto the ground, the wife dialed 911.  Prip then grabbed an air soft gun and began to shoot his wife about six to eight times.  The wife attempted to leave through the backdoor, while Prip yelled, “I’m going to kill you!” multiple times.  Prip was arrested at the scene on battery and disorderly conduct charges.  His cash bond was set at five-thousand-dollars.
