The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the 51-year-old Janesville man who died a month and a half after being shot in the 300 block of North High Street in December.
The medical examiner says preliminary results of the autopsy indicate that Tywon L Cannon died as a result of homicidal firearm related trauma.
41-year-old Deonte Foster of Janesville is being held in the Rock County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond for charges of first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon. His four-day jury trial is scheduled to start in April.
Prosecutors say Foster shot Cannon in the chest in an apartment building on North High Street where the two were neighbors.
