
A 42-year-old Janesville man takes a plead deal in a child pornography case.
According to online court records, Matthew Skalecki plead guilty to a single count of possession of child pornography Thursday afternoon in Rock County Court.
Judge Barbara McCrory dismissed but into the record six additional counts and sentenced Skalecki to three years in prison follow by two years of extended supervision. He must also register as a sex offender for 15 years.
In December, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Janesville Police Department’s electronic device-sniffing K-9 Maui, executed a search warrant on Skalecki’s home on Sunset Drive in Janesville.
Skalecki was found to possess multiple videos of children being sexually assaulted by adults.
At the time of his arrest, Skalecki was also suspected of possession with intent to distribute material depicting a person engaged in sexual contact with an animal.
