With a state-of-the-art gym, a large open break area with an outdoor courtyard, and heated indoor parking, the renovations at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office may just serve as a recruiting tool for new deputies.
The Sheriff’s Office has officially moved it’s administrative and patrol operations into the building, along with some of the inmates.
While the project remains under the original $96 million price tag, the end date has been a bit of a moving target.
Last January officials with the Sheriff’s Office said they expected the project to be complete in summer of 2024. During a tour of the completed parts of the building (Tuesday) Fell says they are hoping construction is done in July or July of this year.
