A 72-year-old Town of Turtle man will spend three years behind bars after being sentenced Friday morning on five counts of possession of child pornography.
Joseph Hulburt plead guilty last October to five counts of possession of child pornography. Rock County Judge John Wood dismissed but read into the record 21 additional counts of possession of child pornography.
Hulburt was arrested in September of 2023 after a search warrant was executed by members of the Rock County SWAT, Detective Bureau and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Digital Evidence Unit at his home on the 2200 block of Easy Street.
In addition to the prison time, Judge John Wood sentenced Hulburt to serve two years of extended supervision and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
