Just as city plow trucks cleared the streets of Beloit after this week’s winter storm, more snow appears to be on the way.
Beloit’s Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says once plow operations wrapped up from Wednesday’s snow event, preparations began for snow removal on Friday. Lock says due to the prolonged snow storm, crews worked throughout Wednesday and into Thursday to clear the primary and secondary roads. Forecasters expect snow to begin falling Friday afternoon with one to three inches possible. The City of Beloit has declared a winter weather emergency from 6 pm Friday to Noon Sunday.
