The community is invited to attend a public meeting being held this month by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to discuss improvements to an intersection in Beloit. WisDOT Project Manager Anthony Buerger (burger) says the intersection of State Highway 81 and Milwaukee Road, just west of Turtle Creek, is being converted to a roundabout. Buerger cites improved safety due to crashes at the intersection as the reason for the upgrade. Work is expected to start in 2028 with the project currently in the early stages of design. The meeting is scheduled for February 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Beloit Public Library at 605 Eclipse Boulevard.
