A 59-year-old Janesville man remains free on a $500 cash bond after pleading guilty to molesting a seven-year-old.
Tracy Huenefeld was originally charged in Rock County Court with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. According to online court records, he plead guilty Monday morning to a lesser charge of child enticement, and Judge Ashley Morse dismissed the second child sexual assault charge.
According to the criminal complaint, Huenefeld has a history of hugging, poking, and tickling children in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.
In an interview at the YWCA CARE House last February, a young girl disclosed that on multiple occasions Huenefeld would lure her to his lap with candy and then put his hands down the front of her pants.
Huenefeld remains free on bond while he awaits sentencing on June 5th. He faces up to 25 years in prison.
