The Rock County Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Monday afternoon in the town of Beloit.
Several local law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the 1900 block of Wisconsin Avenue just before 4:00 p.m. on February 3rd on the report of a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim died at the scene.
Friday afternoon the Sheriff’s Office said 31-year-old Dennis Banks Jr. of Beloit had been arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Banks is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Rock County Court Friday.
