The chairman of the Rock County board announces the finalist to be the next county administrator.
A resolution to hire John Light as administrator will be considered at a meeting of the board’s Staff Committee on Feb. 10 and then at a meeting of the full board on Feb. 13, county board Chairman Kevin Leavy says.
Light is the interim town administrator for Lisle Township, Illinois, through the firm MGT/Gov HR USA. He has served as director of human resources in of counties, cities and school districts in Illinois, Michigan and Colorado and was administrator of Stephenson County, Illinois.
Leavy says the staff committee believes Light is “the best candidate to assist the board in shaping the future of Rock County.”
