The jury trial for a 50-year-old Janesville man charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle continues for a fourth day Thursday.
In Rock County Court Wednesday Assistant District Attorney Rich Sullivan questioned witness Nathan Cain who testified that Mark McCoy didn’t even finish a single drink the morning of the accident in April of 2023.
According to the criminal complaint, McCoy told police he had two to three drinks prior to the crash.
Cain also testified that he has never seen McCoy drunk but that McCoy does fall asleep randomly as if he has undiagnosed narcolepsy
According to the criminal complaint, McCoy crossed the center line of South County Road D and collided with a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Susan Hohmann of Janesville. She died at the scene.
