A Beloit man is going to federal prison for producing child pornography.
Misael Dominguez Adorno, 25, was sentenced Tuesday to 22½ years. The prison stay will be followed by 25 years of supervised release.
Dominguez Adorno pleaded guilty back in October.
Beloit police obtained a search warrant for Dominguez Adorno’s home in late 2022 after receiving a cyber tip that somebody there was uploading sexually explicit images of children to the internet. They seized numerous electronic devices that contained videos of the man engaged in sexual activity with five minors who police were able to identify. He also received explicit images from a sixth minor victim.
The investigation by Beloit police, the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the FBI was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Dominguez Adorno also faces Rock County charges of possessing child pornography. Online court records show he has a plea hearing on Feb. 13
