Lake Geneva’s Winterfest celebration hits a milestone this year.

2025 is the 30th year for the free winter festival in Riviera Plaza and Flat Iron Park on the eastern shore of Geneva Lake.

America’s Snow Sculpting Invitational once again will be part of the festivities. To mark the milestone anniversary, past winners of the competition from across the country will return in this year’s invitational.

Fifteen teams will begin work Wednesday and continue through Saturday. Sculptures will stay on display through Sunday. And don’t worry that it’ll be too warm for the sculptures to survive.

Stephanie Klett, the president and CEO of Visit Lake Geneva and former state secretary of tourism, says the sculpting teams keep the sun off their work with shade tents and insulate them with cold blankets when they’re not working.

Other attractions include an ice sculpture walk through downtown, bonfires and nighttime fire shows on the beach Friday and Saturday night, human dog sled races on Sunday, and live music inside the Riviera Ballroom warming center Saturday and Sunday.
