The YMCA of Northern Rock County appears to have plans to expand its footprint in Milton.
An item regarding a possible land acquisition adjacent to the Parker YMCA facility appears on the agenda for the city’s Parks & Recreation Commission meeting scheduled for Monday night.
An aerial image included with the agenda item shows the YMCA intends to add 9 acres of land between the current Y building and Highway 26. The map shows three football fields and a small soccer pitch overlaid on the image.
A tentative timeline shows the Y expects land acquisition to be finalized next month with site grading scheduled this summer. The timeline shows June 2026 as a potential opening date for the new fields.
