A lot can change in 15 years.
Beloit police are hoping to solve three missing-person cases by generating renewed interest in them online.
Capt. Chris Eberhardt says the stories of Bilial Hammette, Christina Dean, and Horacio De La Cruz Barrera will be shared in a series of posts on Facebook.
Eberhardt says since sharing Hammette’s story on social media Tuesday, he’s already gotten several tips.
Hammette was last seen on Aug. 6, 2011, getting into an unknown black vehicle after telling his mother he was going fishing with friends.
Dean’s story went online Wednesday.
The last contact anyone had with her was via text message on Aug. 5, 2014. She had been known to leave home for several days for religious reflection and regularly fasted, sometimes up to a week at a time.
Police say she had reportedly entered a green Mini Cooper with an Illinois license plate around the time of her disappearance.
Finally, De La Cruz Barrera’s story went up Thursday night.
He went missing from his home on Dec. 3, 2018. An aunt he lived with and an employer reported some paranoid behavior before he disappeared.
Several forms of identification and his cellphone were left behind.
