Rock County announces three finalists for its vacant county administrator position.
The county announces it’ll hold a community meet-and-greet next week for three finalists for the position former Rock County Administrator Josh Smith left November 15th after a decade at the helm.
The finalists are:
Andrew Baker, director of planning and land conservation at Rock County. Baker has worked for Rock County since 2004, when he came on board as a planner.
Richard Hough, Walworth County Public Works Department. Hough was a U.S. Army colonel who served 30 years before retiring and taking a job at Walworth County in 2019.
John Light, a former county human resources director, and an interim township administrator and former various counties, cities, towns, and a school district. Light has also been a county administrator. He lives in Woodstock, Illinois.
The candidate meet and greet is open to the public at 6 p.m. Jan. 22, at 1717 Center Ave. in Janesville.
